Our board of 9 volunteer trustees make decisions that will positively change our young peoples lives, making a difference to our communities and outer reaches.
The trustees have expertise in business development, HR, education, law, governance, finance, and clinical practice. Together, we use our skills and experience to support Kids Inspire, helping them to achieve its goals and strategic objectives within charitable governance.
This is a new role, the key responsibilities are to provide effective and proactive administration support to the Trust Board. Provide advice to the trustees on governance, constitutional and procedural matters. Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements and ensure the Trust Board is properly constituted.
Ensure agreed actions from Trust Board meetings are carried out, and as necessary, assist in carrying out actions with the support and guidance of trustees.
You will have excellent administration skills, knowledge of Trust Board procedures, governance, and legal requirements, writing agendas and taking accurate minutes. Previous experience of clerk to a board of trustees is desirable, as well as having attended the National Training Programme for Clerks.
You will also need to attend meetings (currently on Zoom) outside of normal working hours as required and be able to travel to meetings as required.
Salary and Conditions
The position is initially working up to 5 hours per week and offered on a self-employed basis for 12 months, with an opportunity to move across to PAYE after the contract period. The rate is £11.22 – £11.80 per hour depending on experience. Remote working with occasional need to work from Kids Inspire Headquarters.
You will be required to undertake a disclosure and barring check.
