You will be working for a company based in Irlam, Manchester. As a Junior Technical Specialist, you will be working to support the IT department. The role involves the maintenance of computing, audio, visual, photocopying, telephone equipment, email and AD account management. You will also assist in providing SAP support.
Your responsibilities as a Junior Technical Specialist will include:
·Responding to requests for technical assistance in person, via telephone, or electronically. Log all helpdesk interactions using the appropriate helpdesk software.
·Diagnosing technical hardware and software issues. Researching unknown issues using available information/team to resolve.
·Redirecting problems to appropriate resource and identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
·Keeping track of problems and requests and keep notes to review with manager.
·Assisting with the purchase, setting up, maintenance and repair of
·computers, audio-visual equipment, computer-linked equipment and
·Be prepared to start or finish a job of work or be contacted outside normal working hours in order to meet agreed service levels and within an agreed and reasonable level of disturbance.
·Assisting with the upkeep of ASSET register

·good knowledge of PC hardware and Microsoft operating systems
·A reasonable understanding of SAP user management.
·A good understanding of Microsoft server operating systems and active directory
·Basic networking knowledge.
Typical work hours
37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday,

·You will work towards MCSA MD-101 Managing Modern Desktops and 98-365 Windows Server Administration Fundamentals
·You will gain in house training with IT
